In 1930, a book was published in Italy, which was mainly a wood-cut publication. There were no dialogues – this was the world’s first “wordless novel”. Inspired by this, renowned American comic-book artist Will Eisner drew his first graphic novel named “A Contract with God”. This was the world’s first graphic novel; the year was 1978. This was also the year when “Unmad” the first cartoon magazine in Bangladesh, was published. 46 years have passed since. Just as a hobby, I traveled back in time and tried drawing a wordless graphic novel and called it “Knock Knock”. The reader needs to figure out, who knocked? Whom did they knock?? Why did they knock???
